The Generals Program
The Generals program is for ages 14-19. The purpose of the program is to provide a non-traditional academic
leadership program designed for 30 African-Americans for college preparation, entrepreneurship and leadership.
We work on leadership skills, prepare them for college, tutor them in college entrance exams (ACT/SAT test prep),
and teach them entrepreneurial skills from a non-profit and profit perspective. We to track them through college,
facilitate a retreat during winter break with college students who have completed the training and
every 2 years they gather together with other students and mentors to discuss solutions to problems
their generation is facing. Eventually they will form a Generals group wherever they live.
This is part of a nationwide initiative to raise up leaders from our urban centers and break the cycle of poverty.
